Medbullets Product Development Specialist

With our unparalleled track record of building innovative products for the medical community, we’re seeking energetic and motivated medical students to help us improve our products and technologies offered on Medbullets.

JOB DESCRIPTION

 This is a part-time independent contractor role that will involve working on a remote team. You will be a part of a 5-10 person team of medical students who will collaborate with and provide feedback to the Medbullets business team. You will play a pivotal role in piloting and developing educational technology products for medical education, which will involve consistently testing Medbullets technology and providing feedback on study plans, our proprietary Anconeus daily learning algorithm, and flashcard system. This is the perfect role for individuals interested in product development and technology, as you will help inform the strategic positioning of educational products on Medbullets. 

 Time Commitment

  • 2.5 hours of independent work per week - testing the different products and technologies
  • 1 hour mandatory monthly meeting - providing feedback and engaging in discussion and brainstorming with the team

Compensation: $35 USD/ hour

 

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:   

  • Must be currently enrolled in medical school
  • For 1st and 2nd year students: MCAT score of 510 or above
  • For 3rd and 4th year students: USMLE Step 1 score of 250 or above
  • Must have ample experience using spaced repetition learning algorithms/platforms (ex: Anki, Brainscape) and study Qbanks/platforms (ex: UWorld, AMBOSS, Kaplan)
  • Interest in product development and deeply passionate about technology
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit with business interest or academic aspirations
  • Great attention to detail and strong communication skills
  • Must have their own computer, an office free from distractions with high speed internet service and access to Skype or Zoom
  • Must be fluent in English

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 Applicants will be employed as 1099 independent contractors and must complete 1099 paperwork prior to beginning work. Applicants located within the United States will be paid via Intuit. Applicants located outside of the United States will be considered, but they must be able to sign up for payment through Payoneer.
